Hey all,

Im a newbie here, :baby: , and for the most part, a newbie to the camaro scene. Ive got a 87 LT, 2.8, pretty much stock. Had it for bout a year now. anyway, im getting ready to do a complete frame-up rebuild of it, 350, manual trannie, etc. Now, i can get ahold of an 88 convertable that was trashed. front end is screwed but from the windshield back its cool. Now i like the look of the convertable, and i dont do any racing, so my question is, is a switch from a t-top to the convertable possible? like, can i just replace the top and panels, or is there more to it?

BTW, this site rocks. :bang:

There would be a lot of stuff involved in setting up the support stuff for the convertable top. I think it would be easier and cheaper to just replace the front clip on the convertable. Any good body shop can do that. There are places that can custom install a convertable top too. Look around and see how much each would cost. Either one I don't think you could do yourself, unless the frame on the convertable is still good, then you could just replace the front body pieces.

I agree.... it would be a big pain in the butt.... the interiors are different and you would need a very very very experienced body man to cut and weld the tops.....
