I checked this out on Yahoo Maps, and it's not too far really. I'm thinking about it... That or the Cleveland Orch. concert.... Decisions, decisions...

John, you beat me to the post but I doubt if anyone here but Mark gets mail from tri state or WCA. The cruise last year drew over a 1000 cars and they expect more this year. Easiest directions for most here would be to take the Ohio turnpike to the Pa turnpike, get off at the Cranberry exit, #3, 26 miles. Get onto 79N and exit from 79 onto Rt 228 and head east. The commons is located along 228. Here's a map... http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?BFCat=&Pyt=Tmap&newFL=Use+Address+Below&addr=&csz=cranberry+township%2C+pa&Country=us&Get%A0Map=Get+Map
Somewhere between 79 and Franklin Rd lies the Cranberry Commons. Craig and I are trying to work out a rendevous point being he's coming up from WV with Rich Greathouse and I'm hoping to meet with hometown friends.

No, I don't think you want to take the PA Pike. I-80 seems much more direct. I think Cranberry is slightly N. of I-80, so 76 would be way out of the way - I think... Yep, checked again. I-80 baby.

mental note to self...Never follow John in a caravan
Hey John, you holding that map upside down or what? 40 years of living in Pittsburgh says you're wrong...

Cranberry is exit 3 off the PA turnpike. I'm out there every other week.

Oh, Cranberry Township, that's different! I didn't click on your link 'til now, but I was using just Cranberry, PA on Yahoo and that's the one N. of I-80, just went to MapQuest and found there are three Cranberry, PAs:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&address=&city=Cranberry&state=PA&zipcode=&homesubmit.x=11&homesubmit.y=14
So went with your link and see what's what there now. Dang that means it's a bit further... But just put Cranberry, PA. in on Yahoo and you'll see what I saw... I was wondering why I wasn't locating 228 East very easily...

Thought it would be further, but more south and not as far east and ends up 20 Mi. closer! Well I'm glad I posted this or I may have had a real lonely Sat. night in Cranberry, PA!

You wouldn't be the first, John...it can be confusing for the unknowing.
But an update on the directions I gave...due to construction or something, you can no longer get on 79 at that point. Its possible that they're finally redoing the turnpike interchange. From a buddy out that way,
"When you get off of the turnpike you will need to take 19 North, at the second light you will make a right on to 228 east. follow that for 5 lights and 7-Eleven will be on the left just before the sixth light."
The 7-11 is the meeting point for a few of us going.

If the weather holds, I'd like to meet up with you on or near the pike if that's possible. I'll ring you at work if you don't see this...

Rob, I got too wrapped up working on the power antenna mod. By the time I got it mechanically sound it looked like I wouldn't make PGH until 6 PM. I could have left the electrical, but I wanna finish it and get it working. Sorrry. I'm sure you'll have a great time, wished I could have finished earlier somehow.
