2 (hopefully) simple questions

which wire controls the tach in an 87 camaro rs 305 tbi. I just want to ask so i can hook up my tach to the new 350 that i threw in and cant figure it out.
also how long should i baby it for it to break in.?

i would say baby it for about 5000 miles. Plenty of time for the motor to break it self in and im not sure what wire it is.

One of the wires coming out of the ignition coil should have a connector in it a couple of inches away, that is the tach wire. Or you could trace the wires. There should be four. Two go to the distributor, so those are out. You can use a test light to see which one of the remaining two is supplying power to the coil, then you know the other wire must be the tach. Hope this helps.
