Just a quick update, John:

The school parking lot will be unavailable for setting up the procession, so the meet will be at the church directly across the street at 6:00PM. (That's "Praise Assembly of God Church".)

We hear the dealership is providing a cake and some goodies to be handed out. Several of the media have also been contacted including the local paper and television / radio stations... hope several of them show up as well.

Hope to see everyone there!

Anybody go? Pics????!!!!???? I heard Channel 3 and 5 were there. Didn't catch anything on the news... Anyone else see anything? Damn I'm pissed I missed this after hearing Scott S. and Tom Henry made special appearances. Must have been major cool.

Yep, I was extremely lucky to have CH3 park right next to my car... I was the first one they approached for an interview.

I did get a videotape copy off the VCR, but the quality is not great. I posted an email to Kristin Anderson (the one who did the piece) to see if we could get an official copy, and perhaps the raw footage they shot as well - it seemed to be pretty significant.

I have some pics I'll post as soon as I can, perhaps video if I'm lucky.

I tried to upload pics to Webshots, but apparently there is now a 10 album limit for the free service. (I currently have 20 albums up there, so I'm waiting to see if 10 of them magically disappear soon.)

I figured I would try ImageStation for the first time... I was not aware that you are not able to edit the order of the pics once they are uploaded (unless I missed something), that kinda sucks!!!

Well, they are not in the order I would like, but here is a link, nonetheless...

The last several shots were of Scott signing various cars... including mine!!!

Mark - when you are in Edit pictures, click on the little box with the sequential number. You can then change the number and everything affected gets adjusted. In most cases it works better than Webshots reordering mechanism. I also have got hit by Webshots changes - was adding some pics and there is now a 24 pic per album limit, was 36 when I started. Ahh well, you get what you pay for?!? Still they are trying to sell products using the pics I put up there... What'cha gonna do? Off to see your album... Thanks for sharing...

 Nice pics, Mark.

Took me a few days to figure out how to resequence on Imagestation too. Hope they're not the next to change policies. I have 215 MB up there! Got 'em all on CD backups though...

Lookin' even better on a larger monitor... So cool you got Scott to sign your Engine bay, Mark. How were the arial photos taken? Rooftop? Bucket truck? Just curious...

Hey John... thanks for the tip on the ordering - I'll have to try that (although I don't recall seeing little numbers).

Gary and I received permission to head up to the roof for those shots. (Thank goodness, because you just couldn't fit all those cars into a picture from ground level.)

John -

How do I get to "edit pictures"? There is an "edit picture" link at the front page of the album, but that gets me into a photo editor. Inside that editor, there is no hint of photo number or anything like an option to change the order of appearance. :conf:

BTW - have you heard anything about how Webshots is going to handle the excess of photo albums that are now "illegally" on the site for all those "free" subscribers?

A 24-photo limit does kinda suck, too. I already had several albums that were two-part deals due to the 36-photo limit.

Mark - It was hard for me to figure out too. OK you click on your album and you get the cover and then towards the lower right you see Edit Images (used to be a little different - they changed it since I started) and that should take you to a view of the album with thumbnails. Under each picture there is a box that says SORT has a nubmer and a little "V" selector. Click on the selector and change the number... Hope this is clearer, I had to run thru it again so I could explain it...

As for Webshots, I hope those RBs will just grandfather things up before the changes...

They better...

Thanks, John, apparently I didn't scroll down far enough... but it's all fixed up now!

I'm afraid we will not be able to add any more photos to Webshots until we delete enough of our albums to get us under the 10-album allowance. I attempted to download the albums yesterday, but you need to upgrade to be able to do that, too! What a scam!

Oh well, like you said, "you get what you pay for"! At least I too have them all burned to CDs already...

Great shots Mark...the guys at work who saw the video were looking for my car. Too bad, with all the one color cars in the lot, mine would've stood out with the stripes. Glad everyone had a good time but the cake looked too small for the number that turned out. And what's up with the sign???? CARMARO CLUB???

As for webshots, I finally bit the bullet and actually paid for the upgraded service. I've been quite content with their programs so far and for a little more than a buck fifty a month, it was worth not having the aggravation of looking and trying the others. The upgrades are really good too. Lots more albums, photos allowed and few other perks...

unlimited downloads from the Webshots Gallery & Community
no annoying banner or pop-up ads to distract you from photos
entire pages of photos available for download - not just individual images
access to our highest-resolution image downloads (1600x1200)
maximum number of photos per album is raised from 24 to 60
maximum number of albums is raised from 10 to 50
view and download statistics for all your photo albums
up to 20 favorite members, not just 3
easy photo album backups with MyPhotos Assistant
priority customer support

And...I get a star next to my member name, ooooooh

If you have a camera that stores the shooting information in the file, you can see all that at imagestation but not at Webshots. Getting some greif from folks about how you have to register to view at Imagestation though. Tradeoffs. Gonna try a few more of the hosting sites out also I think...

What has me most steamed about Webshots right now is the fact that they are now witholding statistics from me from all a but about 3 albums that they have apparently chosen. That is really crap. I think it changed when I tried to add the 25th photo to an album and I had no idea the limit was changed as I have several up with 36. They'll absolutely never see penny one from me as a result.

Was at the Browns game to night and snapped a few.
