Police Interceptor Package?

A friend of mine has a 91 Z28 with a 350 TPI in it. He said it used to be a police interceptor car. Is there such a thing, and if so, what is it?

I believe it would probably be a B4C. Yes, they made camaros w/ a police package. However, only problem w/ your buddys, is as far as i know they were all badged as RS's. I'm not totally sure, i've never actually seen one, or even done too much research on them. But i'm guessing B4C would be an RPO. So if you check the codes in the arm rest it should be there, or not...

I've seen one. It was a '91 RS with a 305 TPI. It also had a bunch of brackets on the console for mounting equipment and had the typical cop car spot light on the windshield piller. And yes B4C is the rpo code that should be on the label in the console.

There are such things as Camaro having the Police package, they are known as the B4C Camaro.


They were RS's in Z-28's clothing. 91 was the first year of the B4C Camaro. There were 592 of them made, only which half were 350TPI. They had air conditioning, Z-28 power train, 140 amp altenator and came with some (but not all) of the 1LE option package equipment. This included dual cats, special suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes, posi-traction, special axle ratio, oil cooler, 16" aluminum wheels, 145 MPH speedometer, and 245/50ZR16 blackwall tires. In order to determine if it is a true B4C, look for the "B4C" code on the option label located inside the glove box.


I own a 91 B4C with a 5.7L, I have only added K&N filters, 3" flowmaster exhuast and I'm running 13.8 at the track and that's with really bad wheel hoppage. I'm still finding out myself all that they did to the B4C Camaro...like the police chip.

You got it backwards.... Z28 in RS trim. I see them on Ebay a lot.

Have you read the bin that is on the stock chip, I did the one in my car and it's the same bin the 305 Z/28 has?
Can you send me the bin file off that chip so I can add it to my collection?
