Hey guys,

Ive got a question for you.

When I first start my car up after its sat overnight or a long period of time, it idels rough bouncing between 5 and 7000 rpms.
Now if that wernt enough of a headache, it stalls out if you dont continualy giveit gas. Even if i take it out an drive a bit, the first ten minutes or so ive if i come to a stop, i have to switch it in neutral and rev it up a bit. Any ideas as to what the problem may be and how i go about fixxing it ?

Well since no one else is answering I'll take a stab at it. Are you sure the throttle isn't sticking? If it's a TPI car you might take the throttle body off and clean it out real good, and check/replace the idle air control motor. After that I would try to get a scantool to see what the computer is doing to it.

It could actually be the alternator. If it isn't putting out enough power, it won't be able to keep it steady. I had that happen for a few weeks until the car finally died... the alternator went. When it was replaced, it worked perfectly... problem solved. This prolly isn't your cause... but just a thought.

I dunno. I'm still trying to learn about all this computer and injected shit. But that really sounds like what a carb vehicle would do w/o the choke. So yea, if that in any way or form can help...there ya go...
