Fuel burnig very rich.

Hey,

I have an 88 iroc z-28, V-8 5.7 with tune port injection.
When i get my car out on the highway, and i get it up to around
65-75 miles an hour, i have to roll up the windows because of the exaust. other wise your eyes start burning and you cant see.
No ive had my exaust replaced, i had a small hole but its been patched, and its a little better but not much. Also my (MAF) mass air flow sensor is out, im thinking this may be the problem. IF anyone could help me out that would be great. Also if anyone knows whgere i may purchase a (MAF), because advace auto as well as auto zone charge $169.99 for it.

Any ideas let me know.

change the maf asap. i did the same thing and paid dearly for it, spent about 500 dollars until i decided to buy a new maf, bite the bullet and get a bigger high flow one already gutted and screens removed, i think granatelli or somethin.

Well, the fact that your MAF is out is your problem. Your computer doesn't know how much air is coming into the motor without it. It is a neccessary sensor.
