Its my first ticket and he got me as soon as I pulled out and I always wear it but my battery kept dying on me and I had to keep the car moving and I didn't put my seatbelt on in time. Anyways, it was a state cop. He seemed real nice and he even stayed as I jumped my car. LoL. But I am fighting the ticket this Friday and I am just wondering if any of you would ever show up for a seat belt ticket. Just trying to see what my odds that him showing up would be. Thanks

After I write a ticket, the initial date given is an arraignment date, only thing will happen is judge will read your constitutional rights etc & you will enter a plea.
If you plead guilty or no contest, judge assesses punishment & your done.
If you plead not quilty, trial date will be set, as well as an appointment with city attorney 2 days before trial (not mandatory that you meet with him) where you can ask for deferred sentence or explain extinuating circumstances etc.
On trial date, if one of my tickets has been pled not guilty to, then I am required to be there (major problems with judge & my superiors if I don't show).
At least in my case since I work evenings, I get overtime for the court!
Good Luck!
