Again this year we want to welcome your club or group to Run Through the Canyon VII. This year the event will be held on June 29th. For an advance donation of $25.00 (postmarked before June 15th) or $30.00 at cruise time, you will join us for a Poker Run on the Monterey Peninsula, a drive through Cannery Row and the 17 Mile Drive and a Angus Beef Burger BBQ, all included in the registration price. Admission to 17 Mile Drive is donated by Pebble Beach Company. The winner of the Poker Run gets $100.00 in cash at the picnic, which will be held at beautiful Toro Park, near Monterey. We will also have a live DJ, Bay Area radio personality Steve Fox, who is donating his time for the kids. We will leave from Mervyn's Plaza at 101 and Cochran Road in Morgan Hill. Registration opens at 8:00 AM and the first group takes off at 9:00 sharp. We will also meet in the south bay for those who want to cruise with us to Morgan Hill. It is a leisurely family event that includes a poker run with several stops, discounts on products and a winery visit and a great meal.

This is a benefit for the Children’s Hospital Oakland, Northern California’s most comprehensive pediatric hospital. They have been looking after the health and well being of our children since 1912, including many who, otherwise, could not afford the treatment they desperately need.

Tell your friends in other Muscle Car and Street Rod clubs. All proceeds after expenses goes directly to Children's Hospital Research Center, Oakland. What a great excuse to go for a ride on the Monterey coast. Please help us help the kids.

update to cruise info


Some of you may have experienced a problem downloading the Run Through the Canyon application from the web site. Dennis Kelly, our Webmaster, has fixed the problem and you can now download the application in both PDF and PowerPoint formats.

Because of the confusion, we will be extending the advance sign up deadline to this coming Sunday, June 23rd. All applications postmarked by Sunday the 23rd will get the advance fee of only $25.00 per car. Remember, this is a charity event for Children’s Hospital Oakland. This is the best run so far, with a drive through the world famous 17 Mile Drive included in the price.

By the way, You don't have to have a classic car to go on the run. If your classic is in the shop, bring the family sedan. You can down load an application at: http://nor-cal.chevelles.net/run6.html We’ll look for you on the 29th in Morgan Hill.
