That's what the cop told me...I went through three stop signs while looking for a restaurant tonight in Grand River. I don't know how long he followed me or where he was sitting when I did all this but he insisited it was three. How do you argue with that so I passed him my info and waited for the inevitable. One sign and he might have let me go but three, fat chance there.

Its raining cats and dogs the whole time and then the tap comes on the window. He hands me back my license and reg and tells me, "I'm letting you go with a warning this time but please be more careful. With this rain and that busy street of restaurants, you could have easily hit someone. Have a nice night."

Sheesh, I will and I did. It definitely made it easier to eat my dinner afterwards.

Heh. Grand River sucks. I live about 500 feet from that silly village and I will not go through there unless it is necessary.

To be truthful, all the times I've gone through there, I rarely see a cop at all. In fact, I see the G.River cops in Fairport more than I do in Grand River.

But I guess, maybe, age has its privledges. I did my best to look innocent and unaware there were stop signs. But I ain't blind... I have a bad habit of drifting up to them and then rolling through them. I had a driving instructor back when I was 16 scream at me every time I did this. I guess I never learned that lesson, even 30 years later. When I had my own business and worked residential areas, stop signs only slowed me down so I blew off most 8-sided objects.

Maybe it was the holiday season that softened this cop or just the luck of the Irish again...
