I cannot win

I cant seem to ever finish this car. The STB will not fit anymroe with the new motor mounts. For some reason it raised the motor about 1/2 inch and when i put spacers underneigth the base of the STB the hood hits the top of the base and its starting to dent it. Next I have a hesitation when i give it gas. I dont know if its because of the computer. I still have the damn front main seal leak and now i have a mystery green antifreeze leak . :(

Sorry to hear that Matt. I was thinking of you the other day, with the weather getting warmer, how anxious you must be with getting the car on the road. Looks like you'd be content just to keep it running. Hope you work out those problems...

I just got my motor back in, it had a hesitation to at idle, it was a slight vacume leak and timing. i wouldnt worry about it youll get it all worked out, anyways i just wasted about $1000 trying to put a 350 in mine, no oil pressure so back to the 305, oh well i still think the 305 runs better

Thanks rob, its a 82 i got for $300 me and my dad restored it, painted it blue with 2 white racing stripes. we built the 305 with 10-1 comp, stock ho heads, summit polished center manifold, 222*, by 467 lift cam (both exaust and intake) and topped off wiht a carter 500 cfm, and lots of chrome. i want to put a bigger carb on it, but its hard to get off of $200.
