hey, got my first speeding ticket tonight on my home from work. 57 in a 30 i beileve. i have acouple questions though....first of all i have bigger tires than stock so my speedometer is alittle messed up...is there some way i could get off by that? i know there was NO WAY i was going 57. He also spelled my name wrong, and wrote on the ticket i was going 17 in a 30...not a 57 in a 30 like he meant, it's definetly a 1 and not a 5 on that ticket..any way i could get out on that stuff? thanks - nick

you should be able to get out of it when court rolls around... Becaus the offense code written on the ticket isnt going to match the violation on the ticket.
You could definitely plea it down to a defective equipment ticket in court, with the larger tires.
No points, at least.

Here is your case:
"Your Honnor.. Officer XXX spelled my name wrong, and wrote on the ticket i was going 17 in a 30...not a 57 in a 30.. He obviously was not paying much attention to the ticket as he spelled my name wrong and had my licence right in front of him. I can only assume he made an error in my speed also."
That should do it.
heh, I'd go in and plead guilty for speeding 17mph in a 30mph in front of the judge. :D
