porting heads

im about to port my heads and i was wondering if anyone knows if i could get rid of the big humps in the intake ports????

I don't think so. All your gonna do is smooth out all the surfaces. Thats all porting is.

wrong what your talking about is polishing heads. when you port heads you make the intake and exhaust ports larger so they will flow more. also when you port you remove all the flash and if your doing heads yes you do smooth out the valve bowls and you remove the little rim that the valves make right after the valve seat. i wouldnt want you to port my heads because i would get them back polished and not ported what so ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
