I am leaving either tomorrow or Thursday for New Orleans and Mardi Gras 2002.

I was unable to find a decent airline fare so I am going to be driving it in the beater. I figure I should take advantage of my freedom and see the nation. ;) I'll be doing two 500 mile days. I should be stopping for the night around Nashville, TN and finishing the next day.

The car should be fine, as I put around 400 miles in the last few weeks on it going around the state. It sure will be nice to have my own transportation when down there.

I'll post here when I make it there.

Later all.

Have a safe trip and a good time. You plan on looking into the job market when down there?

I might look a little. If I recall from last trip there wasn't really anything at all in IT.

Well I ended up not leaving yesterday because of a winter storm moving through Kentucky. I did some thinking and checked out Greyhound and went with them. It was cheaper than gas for a round trip and no motel expense. I am leaving today at noon.

I bet that you'll enjoy the trip more, not having to worry about the potential vehicle troubles...

Good Luck on the trip! Stay safe!

(Hope you post some of the pics on your return.)

Well I made it safe midday Friday. Things have been quite hectic the last couple days so I dont have much time to post. Tomorrow looks to be a great day! My dad's work's vendors have rented a space along a downtown parade route for then! That means all the food, beer and almost anything you can imagine! That and a great spot! (We went to something similar Friday night but I'll post more about that tomorrow or Monday)

Later all.
